Landscape lighting on palms and plantings at night

SERVICE & REPAIR

Outdoor lighting repair.
Back in the light.

When half the yard goes dark, the cause is usually one of a handful of things: a transformer, a timer, a cut or corroded wire, or fixtures that have reached the end of their life. We find the actual cause and repair it, whether or not we installed the original system.

Common problems we fix

Florida is hard on low-voltage lighting. Irrigation, sandy soil, salt air, lawn equipment, and heavy rain all take their toll.

  • Whole zones out: transformer, photocell, timer, or GFCI
  • Single fixtures dark: lamp, socket, or connector failure
  • Flickering or dim runs: voltage drop or corroded splices
  • Wires cut by edging, trenching, or new planting
  • Fixtures knocked out of aim, buried, or overgrown

How a repair visit works

We test the transformer output, trace each run, and check connections at the fixtures. You get a clear explanation of what failed and options: repair what you have, upgrade failing halogen fixtures to LED, or rework a layout that never quite worked.

Repair, upgrade, or replace

Many older systems are worth saving. If the fixtures are solid brass or copper, upgrading lamps and reconnecting with waterproof connectors often brings a system back for far less than replacement. If fixtures are corroded aluminum or the layout is poor, we will say so and show you the alternative.
